Launching today: PHTA Founder Growth Series

Great science is only the starting point - commercial growth comes from getting the business basics right.

Today, we're launching the PHTA Founder Growth Series - a practical workshop series designed to support early-stage founders building life science and healthtech businesses.

Across five engaging sessions, we’ll cover:

  • Sales management (26 February)
  • Founder-led sales skills (25 March)
  • Building strong relationships, culture and teams (30 April)
  • Go-to-market strategy for early growth (28 May)

Introducing David Browning - PHTA's new Chief Technology Officer

Experienced biochemical immunologist and mentor to multiple medtech entrepreneurs, David Browning, has recently joined PHTA as our Chief Technology Officer.

On becoming part of PHTA, David said: "PHTA sits at the heart of one of the UK’s most exciting health and life sciences districts. The opportunity to help shape a new translational ecosystem; connecting clinicians, researchers, startups, corporates, and the NHS, with a focus on improving standards of care and health economics, is incredibly compelling.

"My goal is to work with the PHTA team, our partners, and our customers to build a high performing innovation engine where great ideas become real products, real companies, and real clinical impact. I want PHTA to be the place where entrepreneurs find clarity, capability, and the confidence to scale."

PHTA has 70,000sq ft of Category 2 wet and dry lab modules available now, in the heart of Birmingham's health and life sciences district.

From 620 sq ft to 1,300 sq ft, our self-contained labs - with interlinked office and write-up space - offer a regulated, safe and versatile environment for life sciences research.
